Teacher Training Scholarships

Need-Based Teacher Training Scholarships

 

A limited number of need-based financial assistance scholarships are available for teachers who intend to participate in training courses offered through the 2023 Atlanta Suzuki Institute. 

​

At minimum, participants will be responsible for a non-refundable registration fee ($150 after March 24) and a $100 tuition deposit (refundable until May 1 if applicant is unable to attend ASI). The maximum scholarship amount for an individual will be the equivalent of the remainder of the course fee following the tuition deposit. Partial scholarships may also be awarded. Housing, dining, and parking fees will not be covered by scholarship funds.

Deadline for submission: April 3, 2023

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

A completed application consists of the following: 

1. Scholarship application form (click the button below for access)

2. Registration for a 2023 ASI Teacher Training Course

3. Payment of 50% of non-refundable registration fee ($75 after March 24)

Notification of scholarship decisions will be made by April 17, 2023.

Training Scholarships for Teachers of Color

 

In line with the Atlanta Suzuki Institute's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, ASI is offering scholarships for our teacher training courses this summer. These scholarships are available to teachers of color who plan to take a training course with the Atlanta Suzuki Institute in Summer 2023.

At minimum, participants will be responsible for a non-refundable registration fee ($150 after March 24) and a $100 tuition deposit (refundable until May 1 if applicant is unable to attend ASI). Requirements: 

1. Applicant must be a teacher of color who intends to take training with ASI in Summer 2023

2. Applicant must be a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA)

3. Applicant must have successfully completed the SAA's audition requirements

4. Applicant must be taking the scholarship-eligible course(s) for the first time

5. Applicant must complete the registration process for the training course(s) with the Atlanta Suzuki Institute

6. Payment of 50% of non-refundable registration fee ($75 after March 24)
