Every Child Can!© An Introduction to Suzuki Education
Every Child Can!© An Introduction to Suzuki Education is an introduction to Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy and its application to Suzuki education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas’ Teacher Development Program. In addition to exploring the elements of the Suzuki approach and its far-reaching goals, it includes an introduction to learning styles, history of the development of Suzuki education, the role of the parents, the importance of Suzuki pedagogical training, and an overview of the SAA’s role in supporting teachers and parents. A fast-paced, engaging and inspiring program, ECC includes video materials and SAA-developed courseware, and provides each participant with useful reference materials (manuals) for later study. This course is the required prerequisite for any subsequent Suzuki training.

This 6-hour, instrument nonspecific course will be offered on Friday, November 7, 2008, from 9:30am-4:00pm, at North Atlanta Center for the Arts and taught by Ed Kreitman. The cost for the course is $95.00 and is open to parents, teachers and potential teachers.

Teacher Seminar
The teacher seminar will be led by
Doris Preucil and will include up to 12 hours of teacher training. Each participant must bring an instrument. The teachers will also have the opportunity to observe Ms. Preucil conducting master classes with students of various levels.

The seminar will cost $89 for SAGa members or $129 for non-SAGa members. For those who prefer not to attend the entire weekend, the seminar will cost $59 per day for members and $79 per day for non-members.
