Accommodations & Facilities

General Information
The ASI is being held at Oglethorpe University and offers a multi-level experience in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Several university facilities will be available for our use during the week. Since we are guests on this campus, we are subject to all university rules and regulations. Please treat all facilities with respect and care. As the Atlanta Suzuki Institute is a family experience, parents are expected to remain with their children during meals and leisure time, as well as during classes.

Parents are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children and other valuables while attending the Institute. Please note that all children must be accompanied by a parents or other responsible adult during the Institute.

Meals & Housing

Housing and meal plans are available on campus. There is no dining fee for children under the age of five. Dining hall service begins with dinner on Sunday, June 20 and ends with lunch on June 25. Meals from the dining hall are also available on a cash basis.

There are also numerous restaurants nearby. A list of restaurants will be included in registration materials.

Dormitory rooms are available beginning Sunday, June 20 and ending Friday, June 25. There is no charge for children under the age of five. Linens will not be provided for your dorm stay.

There are also many hotels nearby the Institute. The ASI has secured special rates at two nearby hotels. These rates will be held until June 1st. To ensure that you will be charged the lower rate, please ask for the Atlanta Suzuki Institute rate when making reservations.

Child Care

There is no child care available at the Institute. A parent or other responsible adult must accompany children at all times. Children are not allowed in Short-Term Teacher Training classes unless they are part of the demonstration class.

The Concourse Athletic Club, located within five miles of the Institute, offers week-long sports and tennis programs for children age 3-12. Please contact the Junior Programs Coordinator at (770) 698-2000 for information. Space is limited, so make your reservations early.

Parking

There is ample parking on campus. You will not need a parking pass to park on campus.
